Mackenzie is working with Safeway, Inc., on implementation of Safeway's new "Lifestyle" format upgrade to stores across the West Coast. The format upgrade is an element of the retail corporation's "Ingredients for life" rebranding campaign. Mackenzie projects include occupied remodels; expansions; and new construction replacements of existing stores, primarily in Washington, Alaska, and Northern California, for stores ranging in size from 26,000 to 85,000 SF. Service departments include bakery, pharmacy, and service meat and seafood, as well as coffee kiosks and indoor and outdoor seating. Upgrades include site work, exterior and interior architectural improvements, accessibility, fixtures, merchandising, finishes, lighting, signage, and graphics.
