This 32,000 SF animal clinic houses a general practice clinic, Laurelwood Animal Hospital, as well as a specialty clinic, Oregon Veterinary Specialty Hospital. The building was designed with an emphasis on functionality, with special consideration given to durability. The combined facility includes separate reception areas for each hospital, eight exam rooms, three surgery suites, five treatment areas, two labs/pharmacies, X-ray and radiology services, an isolation ward, staff offices, and storage/support spaces. Additionally, the building was equipped with boarding facilities for dogs and cats, as well as a serene, outdoor garden waiting area for family members to enjoy while their pets are being cared for.
Mackenzie provided space planning, programming, interior design, and construction administration for the project. The firm worked closely with the construction contractor to ensure the project stayed within the budget stipulated by the client.
