Dietrich Wieland

Mackenzie's Director of Sustainability, Dietrich Wieland has more than 15 years of varied professional experience including commercial, retail, mixed-use, financial, and fitness facilities. Dietrich oversees the firm's retail/mixed-use team and specializes in adaptive reuse and urban infill projects. For his retail clients, he has worked on developing prototype designs and design standards for national rollouts. Dietrich has extensive knowledge of LEED criteria and is skilled at implementing sustainable strategies into projects. Beyond design, he understands the operations perspective of sustainability and drives Mackenzie's own efforts to foster a sustainable corporate culture. Dietrich is a member of the Cascadia Green Building Council and past member of the AIA Committee on the Environment (COTE). He currently serves on NAIOP's Sustainability Committee as well as the Oregon Chapter's Board of Directors. An avid distance runner, Dietrich leads Mackenzie's annual Pole Pedal Paddle and Hood to Coast teams.
